CSB Band Camp

Overview

At Band Camp, campers will work to reinforce and enhance musical abilities through daily practice and ensemble work while being introduced to diverse styles of music and techniques. Campers will learn to encourage teamwork and creativity through collaborative projects and performances. Participants must have 1 year of experience playing violin, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone, euphonium, bass, guitar, piano, or drums and must be able to read music.
  • Camper Requirements: Incoming 5th-8th graders with at least one year of experience on instruments such as violin, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone, euphonium, bass, guitar, piano, or drums. Participants must be able to read music.
  • Goals:
    1. Reinforce and enhance musical abilities through daily practice and ensemble work.
    2. Introduce students to diverse styles of music and techniques.
    3. Encourage teamwork and creativity through collaborative projects and performances.
  • Program Highlights:
    • Daily ensemble rehearsals and sectionals led by CSB music staff.
    • Workshops on improvisation, music theory, and performance skills.
    • A final performance for families and the community to showcase student progress in the Sean Breen Performing Arts Space.

Summer at CSB

Summer at CSB is a Cathedral School for Boys run program, located in San Francisco, California. Summer at CSB is open to girls and boys grades PreK-8 and offers five enriching summer programs. We strive to create a fun and welcoming environment where campers are able to experience all that our summer programs and Cathedral have to offer.
